"Where Should I Go to Exchange Money?" is an exhibition that actively imagines the forms and value fluctuations of "money" within the context of an era in which humans are pursuing a radical territorial expansion into the virtual world. ...[omitted]... While collecting actual currency used in the past with an interest in the exchange value of objects, the artist begins to question the law of equivalent exchange that we take for granted. ...[omitted]... The artist delves deeply into the sense of unreality experienced regarding contemporary money and the values defined by it, which exist only as electronic data and images—such as bank balances, cryptocurrencies, and stock charts. The aim is to subvert the impact that economic value, as something temporary that is repeatedly determined and changed by political, social, and ideological systems, has on our perceptions and lives. Thus, the exhibition consists of works that reveal the temporality and imaginative concepts of the value assigned to money. The artist establishes a virtual situation that exposes the unreality of the currency used today and its value, and creates "priceless" objects—works.
